Welcome to Doering Arts and Science

This is a hub for the work and projects of educator, artist, and maker Jeffrey Doering.  Feel free to explore and get in touch.  I am always looking for opportunities to work with educational institutions, collaborators, or just share information and inspiration with makers worldwide.

As a credentialled schoolteacher, I have worked in a variety of formal settings with hundreds of students over the past decades.  Most recently, I have been forging curricular connections between craft and technology in Sweden.

Informal settings spark my interest as well – some of my works have found active homes in science centers, or in outdoor public space to invite interaction with our natural world and its physical forces.

As a dedicated Maker with roots in the 90’s Bay Area, I see the makerspace as an integration point for a wide range of tools and activities, the empowerment of diverse groups, and the creation of new ideas.
